Google? Freshmeat? <sideways glances> The above looks suspiciously like
Debian, so I'd proffer packages.debian.org :-) I would guess generically
that one of the scripts (e.g. acpid.preinst) is failing, and 128 is the
exit code being passed to the shell from one of its subsidiary commands
(not a 'root cause' error message as such).
