Jon, can you clarify? I tried doing the search and the top few results
were "Debian PPP dialin and callback server", "linux dialin server",
"Setting up a Linux-based PPP callback server" and so forth. What is the
particular problem with those documents -- they look like they have some
step-by-step instructions. Bernard also suggested mgetty directly, and
it seems to have a big manual -- is it deficient in any specific areas
that you have found so far?
