Fair enough. It's in Knoppix, though, and in this particular case
(where the drive is being backed up to a working Linux system) I don't
think that the lack of ubiquity of partimage is a major problem. I
agree that not being able to loop mount the images is a disadvantage,
though.

BTW, Iinet's mail relay is a pain. That message took ages to get back
to the list, and there's another one I sent about an hour and a half ago
that /still/ hasn't reached the list. Sending email directly doesn't
work too well when you're on a dynamic IP either, as half of Iinet's IP
address space seems to be in various spam blacklists for having been an
open relay at one time or another *sigh*
