Unfortunately *nothing* is getting in or out.  Possibly the following
output may shed some light on my plight: (appologies if lines are too
long or wrapped - it's console output.)

I hope this provides some clues - particularly the first line of
netstat.
ifconfig was run after pinging both to and from my host.  The other
hosts are 192.168.1.1 (modem) and 192.168.1.2 (wife) and are
connected via an 8-port hub.  Again, Windows has no problem with my
connection.
