The Gmail-is-too-creepy folks seem a bit nutty to me -- but then, I'm
used to the idea of e-mails being kept around forever (because that's
what I tend to do myself) and potentially being harvested by
God-knows-who. (I suppose I bought into the whole "unencrypted email
shouldn't be considered remotely private" notion, even though in
practice it is. Posting lots of stuff to publically archived mailing
lists gets you in the habit of thinking that way too.) I suppose the
centralisation of Gmail could be a little unnerving though.
I'd agree that 1GB isn't that much. Still, it's a heck of a lot more
than other free mail places offer which is why everyone keeps raving
about it.

That's one of my major complaints about mutt. Even on relatively fast
modern IDE discs, it can take the better part of a minute to open a
large folder. I'd love to see it be O(1) for opening a folder;
there's no technical reason why it can't be with a little caching.
If you're using Kmail you've got it lucky in that regard :-)

Wives? You have more than one? :-P
