There's iptables tagging and mangling, for one thing. There may also be
some facility for this sort of thing in iproute2, but I haven't done
enough with it yet to be sure. You probably won't need to worry about
dynamic routing, so something like Quagga shouldn't be needed.
The May (?) Linux Journal - the one with the main story about SPF - has
an article on asymmetric routing you may find useful. I'll see if I can
dig it out.

Yep. It's a pain to get going, but it's /so/ nice. I just wish there was
more documentation out there on the specifics of configuring various
services to use it. I see the assumption that you'll be developing a
custom schema to fit your needs a little too often for comfort.
