Is the irq selection on the card correct? This can sometimes give real
odd results - some cards also dont like to share irq's. (use lspci or
lshw)
Can you "ifconfig eth0 up" and then post the results of "ifconfig eth0"
And repeat the type of card - Ive deleted the emails.
