G'Day,
The best time to get help is a PLUG workshop (held at UCC). While the
UCC are nice ppl (I'm a member), you'd be lucky to walk in off the
street and get help with a Gentoo install. Maybe if you organised it
with someone before hand.

On another note, why Gentoo for the gateway/router. Seems to be a lot
of time spend compiling stuff for a machine that will a) be under little
load and b) need to be kept fairly current with regard to security
updates. To this end I would recommend Debian Woody (or Sid) or a
purpose build router distro, such as Smoothwall or LRP.

Regards,
Adrian
