"Lawrence Goldfarb, managing partner at Baystar Capital, said Microsoft
senior executives phoned him last year to ask if his company would be
interested in investing in SCO. Two months later, Baystar made a $US50
million investment in SCO, which launched a legal assault against
several companies over use of open source operating system Linux."
