Hi Ari,
I can lend you a 17" Monitor for as long as it takes to get yours fixed.
I am new to this group and to Linux and have been reading all
correspondents for a while now, very interesting and most of a time
confusing, saying the least!

Subject: [PLUG] Transfering mozilla mail and newsgroup settings from
linux to windows
Hi all,
My monitor has gone in for repairs (does anyone have one they could loan
me for about a week?) and I'm working from my laptop now. My linux box
is still running, as I need to access files on it in the samba shares.
What I want to do is pull my email files, email settings, and newsgroup
settings from the .mozilla directory in my home directory on the linux
box and use them on this WinXP Pro laptop. Importing the bookmarks was
easy, as Mozilla lets you browse for a bookmarks.html file to import.
However, importing mail and news files it searches for preexisting
profiles on the local computer only, and only for programs other than
mozilla. I really don't want to bugger everything up by just copying the
files across over the ones that are already there (this didn't work with
bookmarks.html, oddle enough, and it would always revert back to the
original bookmarks.html file, even though it had been overwritten!).
I'll be searching google some more, perhaps I've just used the wrong s
earch terms, but any help you guys can offer would be appreciated!
TIA,
Ari
