Welcome to the list. Perth is the Debian city but Mandrake is up there
in the respected and well used (good for the desktop) list.
I might introduce myself again (this is starting to look like Big
Brother ;)
I'm a 23 year-old computer technician/manager/entrepreneur (and aware
that this needs to change) that drives around Perth like a chook with no
head and does 70 hours a week mostly fixing Windows problems for people
then comes home to relax in front of the Debian (Sid) box.
I try to develop more of a strategic rather than a tactical view of
Linux knowledge. I find Linux and open source to be great for people
that have a good imagination, even if your don't know how to implement
those ideas. This is why being part of a community and having access to
mental capital is important.

Linux is ready for the desktop like a Boeing F-22 is ready for the
run-way.
