Well I've never tried making a distro before. Any reason why you choose
this approach?
An easy approach to making a distro is to base it on an existing livecd
like Morphix and I believe there is one for Mandrake but I don't know
what it is called.
I'm looking for something at the moment that is as up-to-date as the
current Knoppix (2.6 kernel etc) but is not so bloated and more like
Morphix. This would make shave a lot of time off what it takes to move a
user to Linux. Morphix is designed to be customised but it takes a bit
of reading, patience and involvement.
