I presume you've tried the digital cameras bit of the KDE control
centre?  Once that's set up, you should be able to see the camera by
going to camera:/ in Konqueror.  One particular quirk (which shouldn't
affect you 'cos you're using Mandrake) is that Debian systems need
manual configuration to give normal users the appropriate permissions
to use USB cameras.
