[plug] Cheap Laser for Linux

Hi all,

 

Has anyone recently bought a new laser printer (cheapie) and definitely
knows it works on Linux (or CUPS)? I've decided to give up on trying
getting this GDI Printer of ours to work - and fork out for a new one.

 

One of my suppliers tells me that the "cheapest" PCL Laser is the HP
1300 - which is about $800ish.

 

I'm being a cheapskate here - and only wanted to spend $500 ish on a new
one - coz it's only for small office stuff.

 

I've also checked linuxprinting.org and they seem to be way behind on
the new models for driver support - hence my thinking that PCL is the
way to go.
