[root at MDK /]# ls -ld /dev
drwxr-xr-x  1 root root 0 Jan  1  1970 /dev/

[root at MDK /]# ls -dl /home/
drwxr-xr-x  5 root root 4096 Feb  7 02:04 /home//

???!?!?? What is going on here? Is this telling me /dev is 0 bytes on this 
partition?    :-\
