Perhaps that means you are simply downgrading your packages from testing
to stable? If it works, it works, but also remember that in many cases
the packages in sarge are newer releases than in woody and do not have
old flaws to begin with.

But I sympathise that the sarge's packages kept up to date too often for
frequent synchronisation using dialup.
