I am using "album", which generates thumbnails and produces a gallery
when pointed at a directory of images.
It generates html pages to suit. The default colouring is pretty stark,
so this is an elegant fix.. 8^)==
Thinking about it some more, I've found the themes, hacked one of the
themes, now even this batch editing is unneccessary as it produces
pretty pages to start with.. But it is valuable knowledge of course for
future reference!
To use CSS I'd be regenerating the output of the album process, a bit of
a long way to a short cut.. 8^)==
For those interested, album is a Debian package.
Thanks again to respondants!
Regards
Garry
