[plug] Disabling list delivery and when it actually takes effect

Could one of the list owners advise the expected time frame from when 
one disables list delivery in their account to when the list server 
actually stops delivering messages?

Have disabled list delivery this morning for my e-mail address so that I 
can see if the NNTP suits me but am still getting the e-mail versions as 
well a couple of hours after changing the setting.
