I did two years of Computer Engineering in Holland, decided that it
wasn't for me and never looked back.
Mind you, by the time I started the degree I'd already been working in
the industry for several years and haven't stopped since - apart from
that stint in 1991 when I was unemployed for 18 months, but I got to
learn about radio, so it was all good.
What I'm not saying is: "Quit your degree."
What I am saying is: "This isn't the last choice you make in your life,
a degree is more about the process of getting the degree than it is
about the actual degree." - So enjoy your degree, it likely has nothing
to do with your job.
This becomes even more pertinent if you realise how many Chemists there
are in Computing :)
