That setting should normally be set to ON if you are using an add-in 
video card - especially PCI.  What did you have to set it to?  What type 
of video card do you have installed?

In fact in times gone by, Windows has refused to do things such as power 
management, blanking the screen etc without this setting.  Or if it did 
blank the screen (DPMS etc.) it would not be able to hook an IRQ to wake 
up the display afterwards.  Also used to have real trouble installing 
some video drivers with this setting off...  Of course these are Windows 
issues so it really shouldn't affect you and whatever it takes to get a 
POST anyway!!!

What I am wondering is WHY this affected the Sound Blaster...
