[plug] firefox issue

Hey all

This might be user error, but....

Sometimes when I click on a link to download a file, it doesnt give me the
'open with' option - its all greyed out.

My only option is to save to disk..

I cant add stuff in the edit/preferences/downloads/file types screen.

I stuffed around with the filetypes config in .mozilla, removed anything
related to the filetypes in question, but no change.

It seems for some filetypes it just refuses to ask me or let me define what to
use to open it.

Any clues?
