Yeah, a company I used to work for bought (rented) some copper between 2
offices and put devices on each end to link them up. This is a cheap and
good service, but it's also one telstra doesn't tend to advertise (they
prefer to sell the value added services).

One of the resident sysadmins claimed that telstra might occasionally
deliberately lower an interference device near the line to make things
more interesting.
