Yep, also had the same problem with my motherboard of the same era. Was an
ECS board I think, can't remember the exact details. AMD Athlon XP 1600+ in
it IIRC. Anyone interested in the CPU for minimal cost, contact me offlist.
Its not really worth the time / effort to get second hand parts for it (for
my needs anyway :), may as well just get a brand spank'n new machine :)

Try the shop on Gt Eastern Hwy near where the Tonkin hwy overpass (hope
I got the add right).  They sell boards of the same generation for ~$50.
They are getting scare now because of the number of failures.

Newer boards usually want different RAM which is a problem.

Ive lost two to the cap problem now!
