In Mandrake 10 ,

I installed  " kpackage "  this is the kde package manager.
this shows all installed, all New, and Update available packages .

also,
add to the " Software Media Manager" configuration. ( in the GUI ).
"Security Update Source"

first line:
ftp://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/Mandrakelinux/official/updates/10.0/RPMS

second line:
../base/hdlist.cz

Hope this is what you where after, and it's on waix .
