[plug] GNOME help please

Problem partially solved.

I had a .desktop with DESKTOP=KDE in it and ended up with ICEWM since KDE was not installed.  The ICEWM icon in the panel failed to register.  I deleted .desktop and the desktop & panel are ok, but still no side pane in nautilus.
