(I haven't checked spark, but...) are you *sure* that spark is trying
to 'connect'? Maybe it's just trying to respond to a connection attempt
that *your* computer initiated (i.e. your computer is initiating the
connection and spark is simply trying to respond in a normal fashion).
When interpreting your firewall logs, you need to take note of both
the 'source' port number and the 'destination' port number. Also, are
you talking about TCP or UDP?
