But we warned: long-term Sendmail users may find Postfix feature-poor
or semantically skimpy in some areas. Some of these are deliberate, so
don't bet on its behaviour or capabilities being the same as Sendmail.
On the positive side, Postfix the configuration files can be edited by
real people. It is also 'cleaner' and more 'modern', so some things are
plausible in Postfix that are nightmarish to even contemplate in
Sendmail. I guess that migrating from Postfix to Sendmail is probably as
bad as Sendmail to Postfix. Nevertheless, Sendmail users will be pleased
to know that Postfix includes its own implementations a number of
oft-used Sendmail command-line utilities.

Also: Exim. Exim admins seem pretty wedded to Exim, although I've had
nothing but bad experiences on all systems for which I have been a user
(non-administrator) of Exim. (Yeah, I carry on about this like a broken
record.)
