(I use a UTF8 locale so xterm == uxterm.)  It seems to depend on the
font I use.  The 6x13 on my laptop has two of the three glyphs, but
the larger 9x15 font I use on my desktop has none of them.  Unlike
gnome-terminal, xterm does not do font substitution:
