No, port 67 (bootp server) is used by dhcp servers, and the client
should be connecting using 68 (bootp client) as source port.  dhcp is
an extension of bootp.

dhcpv6 seems to be for ipv6 only.

I suspect that this doesn't come from having a firewall.  It's more
likely that dhcpd is running non-privileged and can't do what it needs
to.  Did you start dhcpd as root?
