Have you considered a laptop with a 17" (real 17", not widescreen)
screen, like the Acer laptop?
CPU is Pentium 4, available with 2.8GHz or 3 GHz, the latter with
hyperthreading.
Works okay dual booting with MS WinXP Pro and Debian Sarge.
Costs about $3000 (2.8GHz CPU) with XP Pro, battery and 1GB RAM.
