I was reading
http://zdnet.com.au/news/software/soa/Is_Microsoft_driving_freeloaders_to_Linux_/0,2000061733,39204740,00.htm this by Iain Ferguson, and I suspect he doesn't get what Linux/FOSS is about, at all.
He is talking about MS tightening up on downloads from their sites so
that non-legit "customers" can't download anything except security
fixes.Amongst other things he says "Already some commentators are saying
such a program may anger some people who are used to using illicit
copies of Windows XP for free and push them to consider switching to
Linux or Mac OS X." - now, to me this is rather strange, why would
someone who won't pay MS for their crappy OS, go and pay the prices that
Apple demand?
Anyway, read it, and comment - or don't ;-)

Cutting the space budget really restores my faith in humanity. It
eliminates dreams, goals, and ideals and lets us get straight to the
business of hate, debauchery, and self-annihilation.
