[plug] USB IrDA Adapters

I'm looking at getting one of these beauties[1] so I control my
computer via remote control (movies, music....)
Obviously I'd use it for file transfers and stuff as well but for now
it's prime use is as a receiver (or transmitter so i can control other
devices.)
Does anyone know how well they work with Linux? I use Ubuntu with the
default 2.6.10 kernel but can compile another if needed.
