This is my ol'man's reply.

<Dad>
OK, on the weekend we locate the correspondence and the telephone account and
put down all of the facts. We also put down the current offer. Armed with this
I'll telephone Telstra and see how far I get. Once / if we reach a stailmate
we'll combine all of this into a letter.

One approach could be that it's not my fault that they didn't have the service
that I needed and once they introduced it I should have to pay a premium for
changing. Also, appart from the installation cost it won't have cost them for
the ISDN connection and therefore they should only benefit from the 'change' by
way of the labour to do the installation (they can keep their bits).

Is this a further case of Telstra not looking after the country clients? What
would happen if a similar thing occurred in a truly competative market. Is it
fair and reasonable?  etc. etc

I'll do it for the fun of the fight as much as anything else.

There is a Telstra watch body as well that we could hassel.

We'll lay out the points and I'll work up to a decision maker.
</Dad>
