Quite, possibly. I'm on an Intel machine so maybe. I can't find a brand
on my old keyboard but it's ps/2. Does the bug effect USB as well?

p.s. I've disabled keyboard repeat in XFCE and it seems to be helping
prevent the little accidents caused by repeats.
