[plug] Exim, Procmail, No Disk Space

I recently ran out of disk space on my home partition (gimp swap file
with big animation crashed) and procmail couldn't deliver my mail. I
believe that Exim(4) delivers my mail straight to a procmail pipe.
Firstly if this is so how can I get those emails that didn't come
through? (I can retrieve them through Gmail if need be but hope they are
still around on the system)
Also how can I prevent lost emails in the future? I'm thinking getting
Exim to deliver to spool and have procmail handle it from there.

Thanks

Tim
