[plug] cannot access a certain web page

when I do a host www.domainname.jp it does states its an alias for the gw.domainname.jp and has the address of 192.168.0.2 which is correct.

Really webmaster at abc.com.au? Check the default host-name. Check 
on /etc/resolv.conf as well. Check /etc/hosts. Do a "host 192.168.69.42" (or 
whatever address) for each of the machine's interfaces. Do "host 
www.abc.com.au" and see if it resolves to a local IP.
