There's a big difference between KDE and Qt libraries. The Qt library
isn't all that big. The KDE libs are considerably bigger and, unlike Qt,
specific to KDE.

You can consider the Qt->KDElibs relationship to be similar to the 
(Glib+Gtk)->libGNOME relationship, really.

Any introduced bloat is unlikely to be noticeable unless you have a VERY
limited system where introducing another toolkit library will have a
significant memory impact.

It's also possible that Skype statically links Qt, in which case you
won't even need the lib installed because Skype would bring with it all
the bits it needs.
