[plug] on-screen examination timer

Hello PLUG list members,

Is anyone aware of an on-screen timer-style display, say a bar graph, that could
be used by students with various medical conditions that leave them time-unaware
and who use a computer for exam taking; voice recognition s/w for those unable
to physically write quickly or at all?

Ideally would allow weightings (eg Q1 worth 20% of total marks so gets 20% of
overall time, etc.)   Ideally open source so that bells and whistles could be
added and contributed back to the community.   Source-based opens the
possibility to comopile for Linux or other OS's.   Google not very helpful but
made me aware that some on-line sites provide this feature for exam taking.
