Let's do both. Laser for the vim wars set for the last week in June
(does this solve peoples exam problems?), Paintball for the distro
wars some time next semester. Shouldn't be too hard to start that
flame war firing on all cylinders... Any objections?
Teams so far:
Team 1: vim rules
1. Tim Bowden
2. Michael Collard
3. Chris Caston
4. Matt Lambie
5. Tim White
6.
Team 2: emacs police
1. Russell Steicke
2. Cameron Patrick
3.
Team 3:Get a Life. Any other text editor is better than either of
those!
1. Daniel Pearson
2. Kev Downes
3.
Event for those that missed it-
http://www.darkzone-wa.com/
Cost: about $25 per head for a two hour lockout, including pizza
afterwards if we get a full house of 30 participants.
When: One evening from Monday to Thursday in the last week of June.
Any objections?
Where: Either Northbridge (most likely) or Willetton (if almost
everyone is coming from south of the river).
Rules: If you play, and are on the winning team, you can claim your
favourite editor is the best without having to justify your claim.
If you loose, you have to acknowledge the superiority of the winning
team's editor whenever you recommend your own choice for the next 12
months. Sound fair?
