[plug] cannot boot server

The rescue did the trick.

unfortunately, I did not realise that my messages where getting through, my mail system was stating that the email was returned due to access denied, so I apologise for the multiple emails.  

Andrew Howell from Informed Technology came by with the fixed.

hi Jon,

grab a debian cd - and run rescue. follow the instructions. you may have a
corrupt journal file system.
