Albany has a large regional TAFE (Great Southern College) and at least 2 
of the Perth Unis have campuses down there, so I'm sure that they would 
have facilities to handle such a conference.  Accom is plentiful, and 
I'd guess that there's also some kind of student accom because they 
attract students from all over the Great Southern.  Albany region also 
offers some particularly spectacular attractions for "foreign" 
visitors.  There are plenty of wineries nearby, including 1 of very few 
meaderies(?) (honey wine any'ow) in WA - near Denmark.  Albany gets my vote!
