I'll try to ask this without coming off like a total arse...

We have a separate list specifically set up to "discuss 
non-Linux-related news".[1] What's the point of that if people insist 
on posting completely unrelated chatter here?

If there's a OT in one's subject line, and it's not even mildly 
tech-related, let along Linux-related, there should be no doubt as to 
where it should go.
