You're not going to find another provider with coverage anywhere near 
that of Telstra's across regional Australia though.  So you may be able 
to find a "cheaper" provider, but if you wander outside of the major 
cities you'll find no coverage at all apart from Telstra's CDMA based 
service apart from maybe a handful of select locations.
