My Kubuntu experience is almost as comprehensive as Chris' ;-) so YMMV,
but I personally thought the Kubuntu was a shoddy, unfinished version of
Ubuntu.

I am a great KDE fan, so if Kubuntu/Ubuntu can make me choose Gnome
instead, it says something (maybe that I'm a fickle traitor ;-) ) - so
I'm essentially in agreement with Senectus.

It's all academic anyway since I have no intention of leaving SuSE,
except maybe to go to Gentoo. I do like it.

Thanks for the thoughts.

There are II types of people - those who understand Roman numerals and
those who don't.
