[plug] edit pdf's under linux?

looked into converting pdf for a frind about 6 months back.
seems that there are multiple pdf standards.
most can be converted. but a few of the adobe types couldnt.
 
did end up finding a lil program that supposely could, but at the time they didnt need to, so I didnt pursue it any further
(it was a small nongui program)
will think on it and see if I can remember (dont hold breath)
