thats why we need to rank them
some will be very good with the odd bad experience
and the bad dealer will have the odd good customer experience
whether they support linux or not is not a MAIN requirement (we usually know what we want befor we shop)
but followup support, no bullshit, return policy, etc IS important (price maybe, but better service and support, we'll usually will pay marginally more)

Firstly thanks to all those who answered my query on MINITAB, it has
been very helpful and pointed me in the right direction.
Secondly , there seems to be some ongoing discussion about a good
hardware supplier for Perth and PLE has come up on a few occassions.
I have found by my own experience to find PLE are rabid anti Linux and
will not even enter into discussions about whether something is Linux
compatible regardless of driver support for the component or it saying
so on the box.
They openly state on signs around the shop they only support W$ and will
not support Linux or Mac
I have in the past bought some hardware to upgrade my W$ pc, I took the
books from my previous purchases including my dockets and said this is
what I have , this is what i want to get to please give me the components ,.
When I went to install them I found the video card was not compatable
despite relying on their expertise and supplying the information needed
to make an informed decision.
PLE charged me a 25% "service fee" as they did not have the right card
in stock and they accept no responsibility for the compatability of the
parts when they gave me a refund.
PLEs staffs stupidity and lack of knowledge cost me despite my being a
good customer to the tune of $4500 over 8 months for the sake of a 25%
of $165 video card.
If I am ever asked about good hardware suppliers in Perth you can forget
PLE in my books.
