[plug] nfs lockd errors, OO.o General Input/Output error

Hi folks

This is one for the archives. If you find yourself getting errors like:

nsm_mon_unmon: rpc failed, status=-13
lockd: cannot monitor 10.0.0.4
lockd: failed to monitor 10.0.0.4

on an NFS client, it's probably not actually a problem with the RPC
server, port mapper, or lockd. The problem is most likely that statd
isn't running on the client. Debian users should apt-get install
nfs-common .

OO.o with SAL file locking enabled will be unable to open or save files
if this problem is present. It will fail with a "General Input/Output
error".
