[plug] Mandrake 10.1 DVD no longer boots.

I recently bought a Mandrake 10.1 DVD on eBay and installed it on my
machine ( In a separate partition )
 
Unfortunately it did not install correctly, so I repeated the process
until I got it right, making sure to delete the partition and let the
Mandrake install disk do the partitioning.
 
That was OK until for some reason the drive icons dropped off my
desktop, so I decided to re-install again.
 
Since then I have tried everything but am unable to Get the DVD to boot.
 
I had been advised to change my BIOS boot sequence to CD ROM, Floppy,
IDE 0 then place Mandrake DVD in DVD Drive and re-boot.
 
This is how I installed it the first few times but now nothing seems to
work.
 
I have tried to create a boot floppy and install that way but that does
not work either.
 
HELP!!!
