[plug] Oh woe is me!!

I have a ThinkPad R32, which has been happilly running Xandros4 for some 
weeks.  It's now dead as a maggot!  With the 20/20 vision of hindsight I 
now know that running sensors-detect was just not the thing to do.  Does 
anyone know if there is a way out of my dilemma, or is it just a static 
display for ever more?
