My fix was done within a cone of complete ignorance, but it works 100%
in at least one installation of Kubuntu Edgy (Bob's), in my SimplyMEPIS
6.0 and in my Xandros 4. All are Debian based distros - I don't know if
that should make any difference. I didn't invent this myself - Bob
showed me how.
1. Get the 'Perth' file from BSD
2. copy it to /usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/
3. In a root console run tzconfig and follow the prompts.
Given that OS X is a BSD derivative I would have thought that this would
work there too.
Any'ow it sure works 100% for me. :-)
Cheers
